Don’t have Photoshop? No worried! I cover these exact steps in my PhotoPea.com tutorial (it’s free!)
Now that you have your template it’s time to seamlessly integrate your photos into the placeholder shapes in the design. This tutorial will walk you through the process step-by-step and after awhile the process will become second nature!
To start, open up your template in Photoshop by choosing File -> Open and selecting the file from your desktop.
Your template is now open and ready to be edited in Photoshop!
Next, open each image you’d like to use in the design by choosing File -> Place
(this drops your photo directly onto the design, saving you an added step! – See below)
From there, make sure your Layers panel is visible by choosing Window -> Layers from the top menu. Once your selection is in the Layers panel, please place your image above the corresponding photo path in the Layers panel to which you’d like to clip it to.
Next, chose Layer -> Create Clipping Mask
Its now time to scale the image down proportionately!
Once your image is snapped inside the path, chose: Edit -> Free Transform to select the image…
…then, press and hold down the Option key (on Mac) on your keyboard along with the keypad while dragging the corner handle of the image inwards to scale down to the size needed!
Refer to the above steps for inserting any remaining images into your template.
